In the community

What if a bank were more than a bank? What if a bank could help you be prosperous, healthy, artistic…even help you go green? Doral’s promise to put its clients and the community at the center becomes alive with three community programs that are designed to improve the quality of life of the communities we serve. Offering a tangible promise for a better tomorrow means investing in the community’s immediate wellbeing - NOW. For this purpose, self-sustaining, ongoing community outreach programs are being continually developed and designed to reveal what Doral has to offer the people of Puerto Rico beyond its financial commitment.

Doral made history in Puerto Rico with the launch of Ruta Pink, a community program that aims to promote early detection of breast cancer. In conjunction with Susan G. Komen For the Cure Puerto Rico, Ruta Pink offers free mammograms to women and men without health insurance throughout Puerto Rico while providing seminars on health and financial education. Domingos d Museo has provided more than 20,000 visitors free access to the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico (MAPR) offering creative workshops, musical performances and outdoor plays, financial education talks, guided visits and interactive games. In an alliance with MAPR, this series of unique and distinctively themed educational programs feature about 70 different activities for each event, targeted to educate, entertain and promote the arts to the community. d parques initiative aims to strengthen communities by reforesting parks located in low-income residential areas of Puerto Rico. In association with the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources and Telemundo, each day of reforestation is a community event in itself, one of togetherness and education. Doral representatives volunteer along DRNA experts, helping teach the public how to plant trees and what it takes to conserve and maintain a park while offering financial education seminars to also guide them to a better financial future.
