Doral Bank's Mujeres d Éxito receives Senatorial Recognition
Lucienne Gigante was recognized by the Commission on Women Issues of the Senate of Puerto Rico



The Commission on Women Issues of the Senate of Puerto Rico recognized the effort Doral Bank and Lucienne Gigante, SVP of Marketing, Public Relations and Community of Doral Bank, during the first event of 'Ruta Mujeres d Éxito', now in its second season. The distinction highlighted their community work and their unconditional support for the economic and professional development of women in Puerto Rico, all realized through the community program 'Mujeres d Éxito'.

Doral has invested around $2M in initiatives that support the professional and entrepreneurial development of women. 'Mujeres d Éxito' has created approximately 50 jobs, has been part of the development of over 20 businesses and it has provided essential professional tools to over 500 women around the island.

"As President of the Commission on Women Issues of the Senate of Puerto Rico, I'm honored to make a difference and be part of history with Doral's noble initiative. This new generation of women, represents an immeasurable value to the country", said Hon. María T. González, Senator for the Mayagüez-Aguadilla Disctrict and President of the Commission on Women Issues.

Lucienne Gigante greeted the senator with great appreciation and enthusiasm for such an honorable recognition. "At Doral the vision of social responsibility comes from the high executives levels and it has been an honor to be part of a team that has its north pointed towards a greater good. We are very grateful for this recognition and we pledge to continue working on the economic development of women in Puerto Rico", mentioned Lucienne Gigante, SVP of Marketing, Public Relations and Community of Doral Bank.

The event, 'Ruta Mujeres d Éxito' had its first stop at the branch in Mayagüez last Saturday June 8th, where over 100 women participated of the various seminars offered by experts in various fields. Marketing, communications, permit procedures, time management and professional etiquette were some of the topics covered. The event is free of charge and it will continue during the following Saturdays in June.
